I had booked Bluebird care for my mum, who comes and stays with me for at least ten days at a time to give my family a break. 
Mum has dementia and needs physical support.

Mahak and Rajwinder, I cannot thank you enough on how well you cared for my mum. Mum was happy and relaxed around you both. It was so reassuring to know that both of you spoke our mother tongue language.

I am writing to you on behalf of my brother David and myself to thank you and the team at Bluebird Care for all of the help looking after Mum from October 2022 until her passing on 23rd December. 

Initially, Mum was very reticent about having help, but Angela soon put her mind to rest, and they very quickly built up a close bond, probably in part due to their Irish heritage. Angela visited Mum a number of times after she retired and managed to visit Mum in hospital a couple of times, including the day before her passing; Mum would have appreciated this. 

After Angela's retirement, new carers were introduced to Mum, and when my brother or I would visit her, she would always mention the carers and was always saying how well she got on with Rita and Sarah. 

As time progressed it became clear to yourselves and us that Mum needed full-time care, again this was another big change for Mum having someone from outside of the family living in the house with her. We need not have worried, as Manuela and Mum very quickly built up a close bond. Although Manuela's time was briefer than we thought, she was very caring with Mum, and her daily support in the hospital was invaluable not only to Mum, but also to David and myself. When David and I met with the Palliative Care team, they mentioned how caring Manuela was. In fact, they said she was brilliant; she would also keep an eye on the other patients in the ward. Mum's brother and sisters who visited also called out how good and caring Manuela was. 

Having Manuela round for lunch on Christmas Day was a welcome 
relief for all of us from the stress of previous weeks. 

Once again, we would like to thank Bluebird Care for the support over the final 14 months of Mum's life, and we wish you all the best for the future.

I would strongly recommend bluebird services to anyone putting a care package in place for a loved one. The team discussed my Aunt’s needs with both her and us and swiftly allocated twice daily extended visits to support her in all her personal needs including medication, emotional support, showering, dressing and cooking meals. The staff were courteous and caring throughout and were able to adapt to my Aunt’s changing needs over more than a year. The organisation of visits was excellent and Bluebird were so adaptable, fitting in hospital visits if required as well as social outings. In any crisis Bluebird were available and they went the extra mile to ensure my Aunt always had support. My Aunt entered hospital and unfortunately passed away but I want to send my heartfelt thanks to all of the team involved in her care. You enabled us to ensure that she could remain in her own home which was her greatest wish.

I wanted to write to thank you and your lovely team for all your care for my Mum since she started her care package with you in May 2021.

I especially wanted to thank Hayley for her amazing support all this time. She has always responded to any concerns extremely promptly and has always been contactable, regardless of the time of day or day of the week. In particular when my mother was prematurely discharged from hospital this summer she could not have been kinder or more helpful. She arranged live in care for the same night and even reassured me by advising that if she couldn’t get a carer she would stay with my mother that night.  She has also ensured that on the rare occasions she was not content with a particular carer that this was sorted discreetly and promptly.
