Our Annual Carer Survey Brings Positive Results

At Bluebird Care we recognise it is vital to listen to our employees so we can provide them with the opportunities and an environment to thrive.

We conduct our Annual Carer Satisfaction Survey as a way of measuring what our team really think, as they are the secret to our success, and enable us to provide a service that we are all so proud of.

Our 2020 Carer Survey received an overwhelming 99% response rate, along with some very positive results. Notably 100% of respondents indicated they enjoy their role and would recommend us as an employer to their friends. In addition, 100% of respondents feel the training they receive is adequate, as well as being able to approach their manager should they require.

Vicki Jones, our Registered Manager explained:

“Each member of our team plays a vital part in the service we deliver. Our carer satisfaction surveys are a crucial part of us understanding what we do well and how we can make things better for our staff. Not only do we listen to their suggestions and feedback, but we act on it too. Most recently our carers highlighted the issues they were faced with whilst traveling between care visits. As a response, in October we started to pay our Care Workers full travel time in addition to their hourly rate and mileage expense. This has had a huge positive impact for all of our staff and very importantly the pay they receive.”
