These exceptional team members recently faced one of the most challenging situations anyone in our field could encounter: the passing of a much-loved customer.
Jane and Parize handled this deeply emotional event with extraordinary integrity, compassion, and dignity. They provided invaluable support to the customer’s son, who was present at the time, offering comfort and reassurance during an incredibly difficult moment. Their adherence to procedures, combined with their professionalism and resilience both during and after the event, is a true testament to their character and commitment to their roles.
This customer had been in our care for five years, and it was her wish to spend her final moments in her own home. We feel deeply privileged to have been able to honour that wish.
Our Registered Manager spoke with the customer’s son, who shared these heartfelt words:
Your carers are top of the list for people that have made a difference to my mum's life.
He went on to say:
I can't speak highly enough of your Jane and Parize; they did all they could.
Losing a customer is always a profound experience that touches us all. However, being able to provide care and support in someone’s final hours is a humbling privilege that few will ever experience. Jane and Parize exemplified the very best of what it means to be a carer during those moments, and we cannot thank them enough for their dedication and kindness.
Please join us in congratulating Jane Fawsitt and Parize Conway-Lynch on their outstanding contributions and in reflecting on the incredible difference our work makes in the lives of those we serve.
