Celebrating our magnificent care team

Happy Homecare Day to our wonderful care staff and all who work within the Domiciliary care industry.

Our Care Assistants are so dedicated to our customers that they consistently go above and beyond to deliver personalised and bespoke care to each customer and their relatives.

We understand that without the skill, determination, kindness and compassion of our wonderful Care Assistants, we would not be able to offer the highly regarded service that we are so proud of.

In the following case study, one of our Care Assistants truly embodied our mission and represents all our core values.

Dawn, a Live-in Care Assistant, formed a unique bond with a customer living in Tonbridge and his wife. The customer had progressive dementia, and day to day life had become a challenge. Dawn was able to use her years of experience in dementia care to keep the customer calm and make every day special.

At Bluebird Care Tonbridge & Tunbridge Wells, we believe that our Live-In Care service must become part of our customer’s daily routine, that’s why working collaboratively with family members is so important.

Dawn worked with our customer’s wife, to ensure she delivered the care and routine he was used to. She also wanted to enhance this to promote positive wellbeing. Together they would discuss the customer’s routine and worked to make each day valuable to them both.

Dawn became a friend both the customer and his wife over the months that she was there. Dawn worked hard to build a good connection and relationship with them both.

Our Live-in Care approach not only acknowledges the needs of the customer, but also explores those things that bring them joy.

This can take some creative thinking. A key example of this is identifying past hobbies and finding new and innovative ways of incorporating them into daily life to make each day special.

When Dawn cared for her customer who as once a keen Darts player, they would play using a Velcro darts board. Dawn would hold the board and move about the room to enable him to play and practice his coordination. This was an activity he greatly enjoyed.

Our implementation of bespoke care never wavers. We understand that no two customers are the same, and therefore our packages and services adapts to meet the needs of each customer.

Dawn’s work with her customer and his family is testament to our overall implementation approach.

At Bluebird Care Tonbridge & Tunbridge Wells, we offer a personal and professional home care and support service and are committed to building a relationship that our customers can trust.

Thank you Dawn and to all of our wonderful Care Assistants #homecareday2020
