The latest piece in our #RemainAtHome campaign looks at the benefits of homecare for those living with Dementia and how it can make a big difference to their lives.

Living with dementia can bring about some significant challenges and we know that remaining at home can be very helpful as it is an environment where you remain familiar.

It is because of this that families are regularly turning to homecare as an option because of how it enables you to remain at home for as long as possible.

Dementia can however, bring a number of challenges which make remaining at home without the right support quite difficult.

Homecare is often the preferred option for those living with dementia because of the benefits to remaining at home where you are most familiar.

It can often be the simple things like making sure medication is taken, meals are prepared, the house is kept clean and tidy along with some level of personal care which can make a big difference.

Because dementia affects each person differently, things like trips out and support with shopping are also things where support can be put into place for.

For family members, homecare gives peace of mind that their loved one is ok and also shares some of the load which means they can continue being husband, wife, son, daughter e.t.c as opposed to also taking on the additional role of carer.

Because of how different each situation is different, we work with each customer to carefully tailor the support that they receive in order that it is just right for them. This is particularly important when supporting our customers with dementia.
