A Special Trip To Hastings

As part of our commitment to constantly go the extra mile for our customers, we are proud to arrange regular outings and events. We made the most of the sunshine this week and headed down to Hastings for the day with a group of customers for a very enjoyable time.

We really wanted to do something a little different so hired a minibus, collected nine customers and their Care Assistants and drove to the very plush Pavilion Restaurant on Hastings pier where we were served cups of tea in gold elephant teapots followed by a lovely meal of fresh fish and chips.
After enjoying their meal, the group took a stroll down the pier and made the most of the ice cream hut before hopping back onto the coach and heading home.
Live in Care Customer Rosemary, who joined with her Care Assistant Christina explained:
I would like to say that I had a wonderful day today and it was good to do something that was a break from the norm!
It was quite a drive, but everyone was really friendly and we all enjoyed every minute of the day.
I had cod and chips for lunch and could not believe my eyes when the waiter brought out gold teapots for us to use! The sea air was very refreshing.

Rosemary's Care Assistant Christina explained:
I love my job with Bluebird Care and get along really well with Rosemary. So well that we have become very good friends.
It was such a lovely day for both Rosemary & I! Having joined Bluebird Care from Europe, I have not really been to the coast before so it was extra special for me.
I know that Rosemary will be talking about the day for a long time and we look forward to seeing the photos!
This outing is the second of three main events for our customers this year and our next will be at Christmas with details to be released in the coming months!
