Customer Afternoon Tea

We recently treated a group of customers to an afternoon tea event to help create the opportunity to socialise and enjoy time together.   The event was hosted at Hadlow College Broadview Tea Room last week, where we were joined by 25 guests who enjoyed a cream tea including sandwiches, scones and cakes.

The event was hosted at Hadlow College Broadview Tea Room last week, where we were joined by 25 guests who enjoyed a cream tea including sandwiches, scones and cakes.

The tea gave also customers the chance to share some quality time together!
 
104-year old Jack, who attended the event with his son Graham and daughter-in-law Lucy, commented:
It is really lovely that we are able to join events such as this and it is great talking with everybody.

I had a brilliant time at today's event and I think it is fantastic that Bluebird Care is committed to putting on regular events like this for its customers.

Clare Mortlock, Operations Manager at Bluebird Care Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells, said:

Our events are free of charge and make a positive impact to the lives of our customers, many of whom find spending time away from the home challenging due to their health.

The events provide an important opportunity for our customers to socialise and help to combat loneliness and social isolation. I know that everyone who attended had a really lovely time!
Our team provided lifts to any customers who needed help with transport. Customer, Ruth, said:
I don't find it very easy to get out of the house to attend events like this, so I was very grateful that my care assistant came to pick me up as that made it all so much easier for me.

The event was a welcome change from my daily routine and I thoroughly enjoyed myself!
Our next event is a trip to Hastings in the summer and we will be sending out invitations to our customers very soon!
