After hearing a piece on apprenticeships, we thought we would get in touch with our local radio station and we were contacted by BBC Radio Kent, who interviewed Rachel along with our Marketing Manager, Nathan live on air!

Career progression is a central focus for us and as well as our career pathway, the majority of our office teams have previously been Care Assistants with Bluebird Care.

We use the phrase 'build your career in care' and know that this is one thing that helps make us different. Career progression is not only focused on our care staff, but also our central office team.

In 2015 we had a requirement for some extra support in the office and advertised for an apprentice to join us. We interviewed Rachel who had just come to the end of her GCSEs and really stood out.

Rachel joined us to complete an apprenticeship in Business Administration and did so with flying colours. She achieved an outstanding result of 100% and was promoted to the position of Recruitment Manager.
