It is not just our team of Care Assistants who complete training throughout their roles with us and Community Liaison Manager Nathan has recently completed his Red Crier in Food Hygiene. It is not just our team of Care Assistants who complete training throughout their roles with us and Community Liaison Manager Nathan has recently completed his Red Crier in Food Hygiene.

Training is important for all of our staff and as well as an intensive induction course which takes all staff throughout their roles, every member of staff completes a series of 12 Red Criers which are externally verified qualifications in key aspects of the job role.

In addition to these external qualifications, each member of staff has the opportunity to complete a vocational course in Health & Social care along with receiving ongoing support through supervisions and adhoc training.

It is important to help our staff build a career in care because working in care is 'more than just a job'. Each Care Assistant automatically becomes a Senior Care Assistant after a year of service and have the opportunity to progress to the role of lead care assistant, care champion and then care mentor & coach.

Operations Manager, Clare, explained:
"The training our staff receive is extremely important as we strive to continue providing a premium service to our customers. The majority of our training is face to face which makes it even more practical.

In addition to the classroom training provided to each member of staff when they join, our care team are provided with shadowing support where they travel around with another member of staff to put their training into practice.

We have also recently introduced the role of Training Manager who looks after all the training our staff receive and provides a consistently high level of quality to all our staff."
