We have an incredible team of dedicated staff who support our customers every day and are pleased to launch our #30SECONDS series which includes short videos with our staff sharing their tips, a little about why they chose to work in care and what it is like.
In this first video, we introduce Jolanta who works in our Kent team. She explains that her role is a hard job where you need to be patient, love what you do and helping people.
We asked Jolanta to describe her role in five words and she explained that her role involves:
Dedication
You must be dedicated to your role as a Care Assistant as it carries a lot of responsibility because your customers are relying on you every day.
Rewards
Whilst the role of Care Assistant is challenging, it is a very rewarding job where you can make a difference to people’s lives every single day.
Fun
It is a role where you have a tremendous amount of fun as you see regular people every day who become, to some level, friends.
Patient
Patience is very important and I could say that it is one of the MOST important things in my role to have.
Friendly
As well as being patient, each customer I visit is visited with a smile on my face and happy cheerful personality.
