When everyday life suddenly changed

After severe spinal problems left Sue bedbound, everyday tasks that many people take for granted became impossible without support.

Washing, dressing, preparing meals and even moving comfortably became difficult. The sudden change also had an emotional impact, with Sue feeling upset and overwhelmed as her independence changed so quickly.

Her family live in France and Wales, which meant they couldn't always be there beside her. Understandably, this also left them worried about how Sue would manage.

Staying in the home she loves

Despite the sudden change in her circumstances, Sue knew where she wanted to be: at home.
