After my initial call Laura Williams visited to do mums Care Assessment and speaking with Laura I felt straight away that I had made the right choice of company.

In July of 2013 after losing a great deal of weight and a number of falls my mother was diagnosed with advanced non treatable cancer. When mum was discharged from hospital she started with Liquid Morphine but was then advanced to a syringe driver and had dropped at least 5 dress sizes. A package of care was put in place to help her in her last few weeks of life.

I became concerned with the care that mum was receiving so I contacted Social Services, they recommended I call Bluebird Care Hillingdon. After my initial call Laura Williams visited to do mums Care Assessment and speaking with Laura I felt straight away that I had made the right choice of company.

Once care had started, which was almost immediately, the change in my mother was so obvious to see. One carer in particular (Desmond) would put the biggest smile on her face whenever he would come to assist her. The care mum received was outstanding, I felt that they treated my mother with respect, dignity and understanding, it was almost as if they treated her like they would members of their own family.

Mum passed two weeks after Bluebird Cares first visit. I know that in changing her care company to Bluebird Care made the last two weeks of her life more comforting, not just for her but for myself and family also.

Fast Forward two years after grieving and taking care of my family of my husband and two daughters I decided to go back to work. The Warden at my mother’s sheltered accommodation had on several occasions suggested that I become a carer so I contacted Bluebird Care as I had recalled the amazing care that they had provided my mother.

I was interviewed by Cynthia and once completed my training joined Bluebird Care. I have now been here for 5 years in August. Bluebird Care are a company that I would 100% recommend for care for your family and 100% recommend as an employer.
