With the temperature dropping significantly below normal, it is sometimes a challenge to stay warm and safe. The changes in the weather can be quite sudden and catch us off guard which means we have little time to take precautions against the cold. Here are a few tips to help survive the weather:

  • Wrap up warm – wearing extra layers indoors and outdoors can help keep your body warm. A sturdy, good grip shoe is recommended for the outdoors to prevent falls.
  • Stay alert – keep an eye on the weather forecast and stock up with food
  • Maintain room temperature – keep your bedroom heated to 18 degrees and your living room around 21 degrees to keep you warm through the day and night.
