Bluebird Care Sutton is supporting RA Awareness Week (RAAW) 2016, an annual campaign led by National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society, from 13 – 19 June.

NRAS is the leading UK charity devoted to Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) and speaks up for those living with the condition. As well as being the leading charity for RA in the UK, NRAS launched a service in 2014 for families, children, young people and adults affected by Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis.

The theme of this year’s campaign focuses on ‘Spotlight on RA’ and although only 1% of the UK population has RA, if the condition goes untreated it can cause irreversible damage. This year’s campaign will focus on showcasing the support and resources available to individuals living with this condition, as well as increasing awareness of RA and the NRAS to those unfamiliar with the early warning signs.

Paul Barry, director of Bluebird Care Sutton, said:

We are proud to promote RA awareness week (RAAW) along with NRAS and all the vital support and information they provide to those living with the condition. We hope that supporting this campaign will help to increase awareness of RA in our local community for both those living with the condition and those unaware of RA and the impact it can have on an individual’s quality of life.”
