Kate McLellan recently completed the Northumberland Trek, raising a brilliant £1,280 for Alzheimer's Society.
The challenge took Kate across tough, hilly terrain over a full day of walking, with tired legs and blisters testing her resolve long before the finish line came into view. She completed the trek with her fundraising total intact, though her toenails did not fare quite so well. All part of the challenge, and a small price for such a good cause.
At Bluebird Care Sunderland & Durham North, we understand how much dementia support can mean to a family, and Alzheimer's Society's work in research, information and support services makes a genuine difference to the people we care for every day.
A big well done to Kate for taking on the trek and to everyone who sponsored her so generously. If you would still like to donate, her fundraising page remains open.
