Out & About
Out & About began in April 2025, shaped directly by conversations with our customers.With complicated online booking systems, going alone, managing transport and accessibility, paying the wrong thing, or simply not knowing how they would manage on the day, we sought to create something to overcome this.

From the very beginning, we made a conscious decision that Out & About would be offered as a fully inclusive programme of outings, with one clear price. We do not seek to make a profit, instead, the  ocus is on creating opportunity for socialising, connection and enjoyment.

Wherever possible, the cost of transport, staffing, planning, tickets and refreshments is included. Where personal purchases are optional, this is always made clear in advance, so there are no surprises.

Out & About is more than a trip. It’s about staying connected, feeling included, and enjoying life whatever your age or ability. This year, we have taken January to rest and reset, beginning our programme in February. You may also notice that August is omitted from the programme, whilst we allow an increase in holidays for our staff and their families.

How to join us
Out & About is available to all of our care customers as part of our wider commitment to supporting full, meaningful lives. 
For customers receiving Live-in care, Out & About experiences are included as part of their regular care, making it easy to enjoy days out, social connection and new experiences without any additional planning or organisation.
For those using our home care service, Out & About can be booked separately, offering a simple and supported way to enjoy outings without needing to attend a day centre or consider residential care in order to access activities.
