Originally from Hungary, Suzanna is one of our dedicated live-in carers who currently lives with and supports a couple, one of whom is receiving end of life care.
Suzanna’s role is both demanding and deeply personal. Providing care around the clock, she does so with an extraordinary mix of compassion, patience, and professionalism. Every day, she prepares home-cooked meals, ensures the house is spotless, and most importantly, delivers personalised care that truly makes a difference in the lives of the people she supports.
When we recently visited Suzanna to surprise her with some chocolates and flowers, it was just a small token of our appreciation for everything she does. Her warmth and dedication shine through in everything she says and does.
"I like to make a difference in people's lives. I love looking after people—I’m a qualified nurse," Suzanna shared with us. "I love cooking, so I enjoy that aspect of this job too."
She added: "It’s very important to build a good relationship with the people you care for."
Suzanna works away from her own family for three months at a time, which is no small sacrifice. But she stays closely connected through daily calls and FaceTime chats. "My family send regular pictures of my son and my daughter and my grandchildren," she said. "So I feel they are with me even when I’m away."
