The Governments introduction of weekly Covid-19 testing for home care workers has begun. Read as Bluebird Care begins weekly testing, helping to keep customers & team members safe.
Bluebird Care Stamford, Rutland, Peterborough & Oundle have continued in the steps they have taken and are putting in place to minimise the risk of Coronavirus or COVID-19.
In recent news, the Government has now given the green light for home care workers to be tested weekly for coronavirus.
As of Monday, 7th December 2020, we have received the tests and have worked this week to distribute four weeks’ worth of testing kits to every member of our Homecare, Live-In and office team for weekly testing, commencing on Saturday 12th December 2020. The test must be adminstered, registered online and posted on the same day via a Royal Mail priority box.
Director, Leisa MacKenzie said, "We are very excited that homecare workers, live-in workers and our team are going to be tested weekly moving forward. We have always worked hard to ensure that all member of our team are both trained to and practice the highest standard of infection control to help protect both you, our customer, and themselves. This has been especially so with introduction of further enhanced practice and equipment since the Coronavirus pandemic began, and ongoing."

The Community Care Manager team have now distributed at our local offices in Peterborough, Stamford & Oakham, meeting with each member of our local team.
