Peterborough First BirthdayAfter a year of hard work and dedicated commitment to bringing the very best of care to Stamford, Bluebird Care celebrated its success with staff and local dignitaries last week.

To celebrate their first successful year of trading, the company hosted a first birthday party at the office for staff and local dignitaries.  The Mayor of Stamford, Councillor Robert Sandall, attended the event and congratulated Tim and Leisa on the company’s success. During the Mayor’s speech, he praised the couple for their enterprising spirit & their contribution to the local economy in employment and the valuable services their company offer to the local community.

Also at the event was guest speaker, author and registered homeopath, Steve Scrutton BA BSc MA DipEd, who has 30 years’ experience in Health and Social Care, with the past ten years advocating a holistic approach to care of older people. Speaking on the relationship between Care Workers and the elderly, Steve was keen to point out the true benefits of receiving the right kind of quality care in their own homes.

At the event, Tim & Leisa announced the business was now looking to extend its services and offer support and care for vulnerable adults with learning difficulties in the Stamford, Peterborough & Rutland areas, to help enable them to live full and independent lives in their own homes.  Director, Leisa MacKenzie said:

Yes, we have started a business, but working within your own community, with the people who need help the most is very rewarding. To see just how much of a difference our Carer Workers can make to someone’s life makes all the hard work very worthwhile.”
