Working Together for Patient Wellbeing: Bluebird Care Stafford on Hospital Radio Stafford

Huge thanks to Colin at Hospital Radio Stafford for having our Care Manager Jess and Coordinator Kelly on air today! They had a fantastic time chatting about the amazing work the station does to lift spirits at both Stafford and Royal Stoke hospitals.

Hospital Radio Stafford is run entirely by volunteers and is completely self-funded. The team works tirelessly to raise the money needed to keep broadcasting, offering music, messages, and friendly voices that bring real comfort to patients during their stay in hospital. Whether it’s song requests, health updates, or simply a bit of company, the station plays a big role in brightening patients’ days. Well done to the whole team at Hospital Radio Stafford for everything they do — it really does make a difference.

During the interview, Jess and Kelly also spoke about how Bluebird Care Stafford plays an important role in supporting the local community — particularly around hospital discharge. Our team works closely with healthcare professionals and discharge teams to make sure people can return home safely and with the right care in place.
