Our Live in Care Assistant's

Maryann Cleaver & Lucy McCormack - Live in Care Manager's

It is important to us both that we dedicate our full time role's to the management of Live in Care for our customers and our Live in Care assistant's, to ensure this aspect of our business is managed effectively and to the highest of quality standards.

Live in Care is classed as a significant purchase, and whilst more cost effective than a residential setting the management of each individual Live in Care package requires a lot of time and attention.  If you would like to learn more about how we manage our Live in Care Package's and support our Live in Care assistant’s please navigate to our Live in Care FAQ's under the useful information tab on our website.

Whilst we are both well experienced in this service, we never lose sight of the difference we make in our customer's life’s. Being able to remain safe at home is a dream of many of our customer's and their families.  We work to make that dream a reality, ensuring that the customer is safe, happy and living their life to their full potential in the familiar surroundings of their own home.

Meet Kofo - Live in Care Assistant

I chose to work with Bluebird Care because I was drawn to a career in care. I knew and still have what it takes to care for venerable people as I took care of my mother in law before when she was poorly and at the latter stages of her life. Whilst the role was difficult it was incredibly rewarding and I am constantly learning.

My role as live in Care Assistant requires a lot of patience, trust, dedication, respect and most especially ensuring their dignity and independence in their homes.

I enjoyed my role as a live in carer because each day is different and it's a joy to see their faces when we are playing games or speaking about old times.

I dance and sing with my customers, we play card games, watch TV together and I also involve them in making their own choices or decisions on what they want to wear or eat and sometimes take them out on a ride for fresh air and the appreciation  and the smile on their face is endless and so rewarding for me.

I do a lot of baking as I used to be a chef, My current customer likes shepherds pie, homemade bread, my caramel cupcake and cheese cake. I have gained a lot more experience that little things matters and goes a long way to make their lives easier, better and giving them hope when they are in doubt.
