We deliver homecare and support services to customers within the towns/villages of Slough, Beaconsfield, Burnham, Denham, Dorney, Farnham Royal, Fulmer, Gerrards Cross, Hedgerley, Iver, Langley, Stoke Poges, Taplow, Wexham, Bourne End, Flackwell Heath, Marlow, Tylers Green, Hazelmere, High Wycombe, West Wycombe, Stokenchurch, Totteridge and the surrounding areas.

The Bluebird Care Slough, S.Bucks & S.Wycombe office was officially opened in February 2010 and moved to our current more spacious premises in July 2012.  We employ a team of over 100 care workers with a diverse range of skills.

We have an active programme of training for carers in the areas of end of life care, dementia, muscular dystrophy, learning difficulties and spinal cord injury.  In each of these specialist areas we have a subject matter expert (SME) so that we have a clear process in place for knowledge transfer and support.  

As an example, our SME for end of life care (which typically involves double handed calls) makes herself available to our team of trained palliative carers and is the lead carer on a large percentage of the visits.  A great deal of time and effort goes into selecting the right people for the job, and all of the care staff we recruit attend a comprehensive induction programme delivered by our Care Manager.  Ongoing training is equally important to us and we are committed to the continuing professional development of our staff, including giving support to those who wish to pursue industry related qualifications.

We work alongside families and individuals to tailor our services to help our customers stay in control of their own care for as long as they are able to. Delivering the very best homecare is our passion, and we strive to achieve this every day.

We offer a unique choice of flexible homecare and support services tailored exactly to your needs. These could be anything from a 30 minute visit to 24 hour live in care. You may want short term help after an illness, or you may require respite care because your usual carer is having a break. Whatever your needs, our dedicated team of home care workers are happy to talk to you about your requirements.

Bluebird Care is registered to provide home care services to older people and people with physical and/or learning disabilities and includes:

  • re-ablement
  • end of life care
  • social support

Customers may purchase care through a variety of routes including Direct Payments or personal funds, and we are acutely aware that our customers are vulnerable people who have chosen to receive care in the comfort of their own homes and are committed to providing high quality care and value for money.

Our services are wide-ranging to offer more choice and meet the needs of our customers, be that personal care, practical or specialist care needs.  Some people require very little help with daily living tasks to maintain their independence whilst others require more complex care and support. Whatever the requirements of each individual, Bluebird Care is able to help them maintain their level of independence in the comfort of their own home.

Each care package is person specific with highly flexible and well monitored care visits ranging from as short as 30 minutes to 24 hours a day.

Our personal care includes but is not limited to:

  • Help getting up and going to bed
  • Assistance with washing and dressing
  • Assistance with getting into the bath or shower
  • Assistance with going to the toilet
  • Assistance with meal preparation
  • Assistance with medication
  • Assistance with mobility

The range of practical care services we provide include:

  • Assistance with personal laundry and ironing
  • Assistance with cleaning the home and basic household chores
  • Assistance with going or getting your shopping

Some people require very specialist care and our specialist services have been designed specifically to meet these special needs.
