We are delighted to have an article featured in the Sunderland Echo about us awarding our Bluebird Care community grants to local groups.

On 7th April the Sunderland Echo published an article detailing us awarding our recent community grants to two deserving local charities: Churches Together in South Tyneside’s Happy at Home Project and South Tyneside Positive Activities and Targeted Youth Support Group.

Churches Together in South Tyneside’s Happy at Home Project and South Tyneside Positive Activities and Targeted Youth Support Group were chosen as our first beneficiaries, and each received a cheque for £125 in recognition of the voluntary work they do to support older people in our area.

Both groups applied for our grant and were able to provide a clear explanation of the project for which they sought funds as well as evidence as to how their projects benefit those aged 65 and over in the locality.

Commenting, David Haswell, director of Bluebird Care South Tyneside said:

Our community continues to thrive because of local volunteers and the hard work they carry out in running support groups, hosting events and providing services that benefit others.”
We would like to thank the Sunderland Echo for featuring us, read the full article here.
