Bluebird Care South Tyneside staff run food collection for local food bank.

Staff from Bluebird Care South Tyneside have collected donatations to help vulnerable people in their local community.

Bluebird Cares contributions were co-ordinated by Rebecca O'Keefe, Quality Assurance & Development Manager. All departments from the Bluebird Care were involved in collecting over 50 items of bags of in-date, non perishable foods and household items which have now been delivered to Hopsitaility and Hope.

Hospitality and Hope - is a local charity in South Tyneside who work at grassroots in South Shields. They support homeless and vulnerable people in the area. Founded in 2002 with help from local church volunteers who identified a need to support homeless and vulnerable people in the area. They began by walking the streets and offering hot drinks and sandwiches to those in need.

As times continue to get harder and harder for people, we thought as company it is the least we can do for our community. Our staff would just drop one or two items in every now and then when visiting the office. A little bit from everyone can go a long way when put together. We have worked closely with Hospitality and Hope on a few occasions and they are always so grateful.
