Well done Ruth Perkins and SHE7

Filton Lunch Club receives grant funding from Bluebird Care, as we would like to recognise thework they have done in the community for decades

Part of the way we look after our customers is to support other organisations that also support them.  One such group is the Lunch Club at SHE7 (Self Help Entrerprise 7) in Filton.

They provide delicious roast lunches to around 150 mouths per week on Wednesdays and Thursdays, largely subsidised by the charity money collected by Ruth Perkins and other members of the team.

Ruth, aged 94, also tirelessly helps with preparing the food and generally running the organisation.  Incredibly, she has been part of the team for over forty years!

The funding will go towards fixing the roof later in the year, which is already in need of repair.
