Bluebird Care South Glos celebrates the work carried out by the care staff during COVID.

Here at Bluebird Care South Gloucestershire, we wanted to let our staff know that they have been doing an amazing job throughout the pandemic.

“To maintain such high standards over such a long period of time is just so impressive” said Jack Whitfield, Managing Director of Bluebird Care (South Gloucestershire), based in Chipping Sodbury.  “We were all very concerned at the start of the pandemic but the entire team has risen to the occasion and the results speak for themselves.”

The company has just been triple-rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for the second time in a row.

“We were looking forward to throwing a big Summer Fete in Yate to mark their achievement,” said Registered Business Leader Cheryl Beard, “but the restrictions of NHS Test and Trace forced us to cancel at the last minute, so we put all the budget into a hamper and voucher for the staff instead.”

Cheryl also won 1st Prize in the Bluebird Care Network’s COVID Hero Award ceremony, for her Herculean efforts in steering the company through the pandemic so successfully.  The competition was open to all 10,000 Bluebird Care employees.

In a bid to boost their local High Street after a difficult year of trading, Bluebird Care went to The Chipping Sodbury Florists of Hatters lane to put together their 90 hampers. “We were delighted with the order of course, but also know that the hampers were going to some real local heroes.”
