We are pleased to announce that Lesley Fernihough has been awarded the Bluebird Care Solihull care assistant of the year award for 2016.

Apart from the many hours that Lesley puts into her role, she goes all out to deliver the very best care to her customers as well as providing great customer service by going the extra mile. She is an excellent communicator and a great team player who is always willing to help the office team when they need care assistants to cover calls. Because of these great inputs, the feedback from customers is always positive and she is seen as a role model for professional community care.

The Managing Director, Steve Tarpey presented Lesley with the annual ‘Care Assistant of the Year’ cup as well as £100 of high street vouchers.

Lesley commented:

I have thoroughly enjoyed my first year working as a care assistant with Bluebird Care Solihull. Throughout this time, I have had the privilege of meeting and working alongside some amazing care assistants, all of whom are fully committed to delivering high quality care to all our customers. Therefore, I can honestly say that I was completely astounded, over the moon and felt highly honoured when Steve told me that I had been given the prestigious award of Care Assistant of the Year 2016. For me this accolade is the cherry on the cake to mark the end of my first year. And the best thing of all is that I am lucky to do a job that I truly love.”
