Celebrating Stars of Social Care Awards 2026

We are pleased to share that Poppy Sagar has been named winner of the New to Care Award at the national Stars of Social Care Awards. Joining the team just over six months ago, Poppy has already made an impact through her compassionate, patient and person-centred approach to care. She supports customers with dignity and kindness, helping them maintain independence while offering reassurance and quality care. We would also like to recognise Narbir Virk and Bryony Humphries, who were shortlisted as finalists in their categories. Being recognised nationally reflects the professionalism, dedication and compassion they bring to their roles. We are proud of the difference they make to customers, families and wider team.

The team at Bluebird Care Solihull attended the Stars of Social Care Teams Awards 2026 in Manchester, where we were finalists in two categories. The team was recognised in the Independence Champions Award (Community Care Teams) and Rehabilitation & Reablement Team Award. The shortlisting reflected strong teamwork and a focus on consistent, person-centred care that supports people to live independently at home. While we were not winners on the night, the event was a valuable opportunity to take part in excellence across the home care community. We extend our congratulations to all finalists and winners.

Bluebird Care Solihull was shortlisted in four categories at this year’s Great British Care Awards West Midlands: Home Care Employer Award (Kam Goraya / Bluebird Care Solihull), Dementia Carer Award (Simon Jay), Care Worker Award (Simon Jay), and Care Worker Award (Naz Bibi).
