World Alzheimer’s Month: Keeping Memories, Creating Moments

This World Alzheimer’s Month, our Sevenoaks office is taking a moment to recognise everyone affected by Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia — those living with the condition, their families, friends, carers and the wider community around them.

Behind every diagnosis is a person with a lifetime of memories, experiences and relationships.

For some, it might be a favourite song that brings back a special moment. For others, it could be a familiar face, a treasured photograph, a favourite place in Sevenoaks or simply the comfort of spending time with someone they trust.

While Alzheimer’s can change the way memories are formed and remembered, it doesn’t take away the importance of kindness, connection and human companionship.

This month, we’re encouraging everyone to take a little more time to connect. Have a conversation. Share a story. Look through old photographs. Listen to a favourite song. Sit together and enjoy the moment.

Sometimes, the smallest gestures can mean the most.
