Sevenoaks District Council
One our recent, and indeed most successful, initiatives with Sevenoaks District Council is our Dementia Café, in conjunction with Eynsford Parish Council, which takes place every 2nd Friday of the month from 10am – 12pm at Eynsford Village Hall, and are open to all.
The format is usually an organsied activity - at one past event we knitted Easter bonnets, at another we made 900 Forget Me Nots, a flower that has become a symbol of the "Dementia Friends" campaign - and guest speaker - on topics such as dementia coping strategies, techniques for calming someone who may be agitated, or domestic security tips - and of course lunch, with tea & coffee being served throughout.
