Our customer trip to Eastbourne

On 15 August, 2018, Bluebird Care Sevenoaks organised a Seaside "Fish & Chip" afternoon in Eastbourne...

After much research and many hours of planning, our first coach trip to Eastbourne for our customers, their friends and family took place on the 15^th August, 2018.

The coach departed at 10am and an on-board breakfast was served as the coach took a scenic route down country lanes. We arrived at Eastbourne Pier and made our way to the Victorian Tea Rooms for a cup of tea and a slice of cake, and to admire the impressive chandeliers!

On our way back along the pier were an array of shops, through which we browsed until we found our way to a famous fish and chip shop for lunch. Luckily it served a few glasses of wine, which cheered up a few of our customers and after enormous portions of Plaice and mountains of chips and mushy peas, we made our way back through Eastbourne to sit by the beautiful gardens and watch the ocean and all the people on the beach.

We also enjoyed a helicopter display in preparation for the Eastbourne Air Show.

Sadly it wasn’t long until we had to board the coach back to Sevenoaks, so off we set, of course with a cup of tea and an obligatory biscuit – and for one or two people a well-earned afternoon snooze!

Phone numbers were exchanged and new friendships were formed following the trip, which made the team feel they really had made a difference – which of course is what we are all about at Bluebird Care Sevenoaks!

We even got our faces in the local paper!
