Bluebird Care Sevenoaks volunteers at the Forget Me Not Cafe

Our community engagement officers, Gerri and Shereece, recently spent time volunteering at the Forget Me Not Cafe, organised by Sevenoaks Town Council. 💙

The monthly cafe supports people living with dementia and their carers, bringing people together in the local community.

For Gerri and Shereece, it was a lovely opportunity to give their time, meet local people and support an event that means a great deal to those who attend.

Supporting people living with dementia in Sevenoaks

Living with dementia can affect everyday life for the person themselves and the people who care for them.

Local groups and events such as the Forget Me Not Cafe can give people an opportunity to spend time with others in their community.

As part of Bluebird Care Sevenoaks, Gerri and Shereece enjoyed being there to lend a hand and get to know some of the people attending.

Their visit was also another opportunity for our team to stay connected with the community where our customers, their families and our care professionals live and work.
