Bluebird Care Scarborough & Bridlington is supporting Volunteers Week 2016, an annual campaign led by The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), from 1 – 12 June 2016.

The NCVO lead the voluntary sector and volunteering, with a vision that everyone can make a difference to society and the causes they believe in. By individuals volunteering in their local community and the substantial number of voluntary organisations that exist in the UK, each day millions of people are making a difference.

This year’s campaign focuses on ‘The Big Celebration’ as the end of Volunteers week overlaps with The Patron’s Lunch on 12 June. A day dedicated to celebrate the Queen’s service to over 600 charities and organisations. NCVO will be sharing tips and ideas of how to make the most of Volunteers Week, as well as supporting communities in creating their own Big Celebration.

Emma Finn, director of Bluebird Care Scarborough & Bridlington, said:

We are proud to promote Volunteers Week along with the NCVO to encourage more individuals to get involved and volunteer at their local charities and organisations. We hope that supporting this campaign we can help encourage others within the local community to show their support and create their own big celebration.
