Bluebird Care Rushcliffe and Melton is celebrating their fantastic team of care assistants, and the difference they make across the Rushcliffe community every day, as part of a national campaign, which launched on Tuesday 8th May.

The #MakeADifference campaign, headed up by Bluebird Care’s franchise support centre, aims to highlight and raise awareness of care at home as a profession, which enables vulnerable people to receive the care and support they require in the comfort of their own homes. The purpose of the campaign is so we can showcase why the Bluebird Care Rushcliffe and Melton team of care assistants are #ProudtoCareAtHome.

With the rapidly increasing ageing population and rising numbers of people living with complex conditions - that require specialist care – such as dementia, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s disease, and more people choosing to opt for care at home, our campaign aims to highlight how patient, kind and compassionate individuals can make a real difference working in care at home.

Bluebird Care Rushcliffe and Melton will be hosting a series of awareness events and initiatives throughout May – August 2018 to promote the campaign.

Bluebird Care Rushcliffe and Melton’s longest-standing care assistant – of over 4 years, said:

"I know I am making a difference in my local community, and helping individuals remain in their own home. Moving can be unsettling, so anything we can do to prevent this should be done. I love spending time with my customers, hearing the stories, seeing the photos. I love being a care assistant.”

Care Manager of Bluebird Care Rushcliffe and Melton, Peter Bryan commented:

"Via the #MakeADifference campaign, we want all individuals to learn more about how rewarding a career in home care can be, the huge difference you can make to the people that you support, and why so many of our Bluebird Care care assistants are #ProudToCareAtHome."

All those interested in getting in touch and finding out more about how they could make a difference working with Bluebird Care should contact Peter Bryan or visit our vacancies page.
