Introducing our new 'Care Friends' app

Bluebird Care Rushcliffe & Melton is delighted to launch Care Friends, a brand-new mobile app enabling our staff to earn rewards and bonuses for going above and beyond in their job role.

This platform, launched in December 2020, will build on the success of our existing Employee Recognition Programme, which includes:

1. Monthly ‘Excellence in Care’ Awards
2. 'Care Team of the Quarter'
3. Annual Recognition Award Ceremony
4. 'Length of Service' Milestones

Furthermore, Care Friends has presented us with an opportunity to completely revamp our ‘Refer a Friend’ scheme. Staff can share job openings and get rewarded with ‘cash points’ for helping us find, recruit and retain more wonderful care assistants to help support our customers. After all, caring people know caring people!

In a few short months we have already rewarded our team collectively with over £900.00 worth of points for helping us with recruitment and going the extra mile to help our customers. For example, one care assistant was rewarded bonus points for arranging Wiltshire Farm Food orders and deliveries for a customer who was struggling to cook and shop for herself. Another received points for getting a personal mention in a customer testimonial, thanking them for checking on their wellbeing in their own time when they were feeling unwell.

We have always said that our care team is the 'life blood' of our service, and in order to ensure our customers receive consistent, high-quality care, we must in turn look after our staff. Care Friends is yet another tool in our toolkit that we can use to motivate, inspire and show appreciation for all that our carers do to support our customers stay safe and happy in their own homes.
