Working in homecare is extremely flexible and a lot of our Care Assistants have commitments that their role with Bluebird Care can fit around.

Emma chose to pursue a career in care as it seems to just come naturally to her! She initially wanted to be a life coach and has always wanted to help people since she was little.

She initially saw an advert for a role with us on Facebook and applied after looking through our reviews, website and what people fed back decided that we were the right company for her.

Prior to working for Bluebird Care, Emma gained experience working as a Senior Care Assistant in a care home and then in homecare for a few different providers.

I have three children and two stepchildren, so my life is quite full! The flexible hours that community care gives make a big difference as it means that I can drop the kids off to school, go to work and then collect them afterwards!

Emma, Care Manager

Emma very much enjoys her role and in particular, connects well with one customer who has Motor Neurone Disease.

The customer has a brilliant sense of humour and seems to be on the same wavelength, so they always have a good laugh!
