Supporting Customer Mikki

We are proud to support customer Mikki, who is living with dementia, however has an incredible neighbour who has been her friend for many years and helps with her day-to-day affairs!

Mikki, who lives in the house that she has had for over 30 years, used to work in the RAF Military Police and following this was a wages inspector for the government where she had a very responsible role. Following this, Mikki ran a local post office and so is a well-known person in the local community.

Whilst she has no family, Mikki has always had good neighbours and one neighbour who is Carol has become very good friends with her over the years. When Mikki or Carol were travelling for work they used to look after one another's animals, cats e.t.c and they would both always be looking out for one another.

Back in 2016, Mikki had a fall and ended up falling through a glass door backwards. It is since this time that her dementia has been getting worse and she requires help with various day-to-day activities.

As well as a friend, Mikki's neighbour Carol has been a fantastic help for her as she facilitates all of Mikki's arrangements including her care support, bills, orders food and even helps sort out new central heating.

We work closely with Carol to support Mikki and provide a care service that includes four visits each day to support with her activities of daily living and meals.
