We recently spent some time with Tia to find out a little more and are pleased to share her story with you here.


Q: Why do you work in care?

I work in care because when I started the job, I really enjoy visiting my customers at home and helping them. I found that I loved it so much that I stuck with it and here I am!

Q: What was your first day like?

On my first day with the Bluebird Care team I met one of the other Care Assistants and we went to her customer's houses.

I was introduced to people and I started getting familiar with some of the customer's routines.

Q: What tip would you give?

The tip that I would give to someone looking to work in care is simply to do it! It is really rewarding and it is very enjoyable to know that you help people and look after them in their day to day lives.

Q: Tell us one rewarding thing!

Today when I went to visit my lovely customer, she commented on how she had missed me as I had been off for a little while.

It is really lovely to know that my customers do miss me as it helps show that I am a good Care Assistant. It really gives me a rosey feeling!
