Launching #ILoveMyCareer

Published: 20/02/2019

Working in care is a job like no other and for our amazing team, it is much more than 'just' a job. It is a passion; a lifestyle that drives them to put a smile on the face of people every day. Bluebird Care has a very good reputation and often our staff join the team because of this. Many may have never worked in care professionally before and the support we provide enables them to excel in their roles.

Our Care Assistants choose to work in care because of a passion that they have for making a difference and community care certainly gives you the chance to do that!

This is why we are launching #ILoveMyCareer which is our campaign where we will be sharing the stories of a number of staff over the coming months and explaining why they love their career in care!

Field Care Supervisor Charlene who worked in retail before joining the Bluebird Care team explained:
Before working in care I worked in retail, but also spent time volunteering as a Teaching Assistant at a special needs school.

It was a passion for people and ultimately putting a smile on their faces that was the reason I chose to work in community care so joined the Bluebird Care team as a Care Assistant.

I have now progressed through the career pathway to the position of Care Supervisor and am delighted to be able to continue building my career. I certainly made the right choice!
Care Manager Jess explained

Working as a community care assistant is tough work and certainly not for everyone. It is however, extremely rewarding and makes me go home feeling that I have made a tremendous difference every day.

We welcome new faces to the team from all walks of life and backgrounds. Some have worked in care before, but many have not.
Everyone who joins our team receives a comprehensive induction, shadowing and support throughout their career. To find out more and apply for a role, please phone 01797 225 797 or email rother.hastings@bluebirdcare.co.uk.
