Happy birthday Kay

One of our Directors was visiting a routinely bed bound customer and her dad last week.

During a visit to Kay and her father, one of the directors, John, noticed that Kay's living room window provided a view of the street where he grew up. Kay mentioned how she used to hear the ice cream van but it never stopped near her. Inspired by this, John made a few calls to arrange a special surprise for Kay on her birthday.

Today, thanks to the efforts of Steve, the ice cream van finally made a stop near Kay's house, bringing joy and nostalgia to her on her special day. Steve even played the tunes that are often associated with ice cream vans, creating a delightful atmosphere.

This gesture demonstrates Bluebird Care Rochdale's commitment to going above and beyond in their care and support for their customers. By listening to Kay's story and taking action to make her birthday memorable, they showed their dedication to personalized and compassionate care.
