I have worked for Bluebird Care Rochdale for 2 years. They are a lovely company to work for John & Beryl are very passionate about their customers and staff and Michelle is a brilliant manager. During that time I went on maternity leave. While I was off I was sent a basket with gifts for my baby, they delivered a fruit basket to myself at the start of the pandemic and I also received a gift voucher for the Bellavista. They have always bought me Christmas and birthday gifts. They have always looked after me, I feel very valued and appreciated. All the members of staff are kind, passionate and supportive and customers are always commenting on how the carers always go above and beyond. I am very proud to work for Bluebird care Rochdale.

Kay came to Bluebird Care Rochdale in late 2020 for care and support. She is a young lady with numerous health conditions that lead her to have our service caring for her initially with two of our team on twice a day. Previously, she had NEAD attacks on a regular basis, some days having up to thirty attacks a day. Since receiving care from our team, she has not had an attack for over12 months which her family attribute to the quality and continuity of care from our service. Those that go to visit regularly, have put a lot of time and effort into her visits to allow her to become more independent, and safe in her environment. She is very happy and comfortable with the quality of care she is receiving. Recently, she has enrolled on numerous different college courses as she is feeling better within her health and has grown in confidence to do such things. She is now having social calls with our service to allow her family to have time to themselves and Kay is more than happy to be sociable with our care assistants as she has built an amazing rapport with them.  

Amanda joined our amazing team in January 2022 . She had never worked in care before and was very nervous and lacked in confidence when joining the team.  With help and support from the management team she has completed all her mandatory training , including her Care Certificate . Her confidence has grown and we have nothing but positive feedback about the outstanding way she builds a relationship with our customers.   Despite never working in the sector previously, Amanda has passed her probation first time.  Recently a new customer has come to us and Amanda has been going for walks close to the home and then returning and aiding the customer to complete puzzles which the customer loves to do.  She is doing a great job maintaining peoples' independence and ensuring they live their very best lives.  Here sees Amanda receiving our Above and Beyond award for overall excellence of service.  Well done Amanda, it's great to have you in our team.  

The care and support that Bluebird Care Rochdale has provided my 91-year-old father-in-law have been above and beyond the call of duty. On 20/1/21 one of our regular Bluebirds called to prepare my father in-law's evening meal. Unfortunately, my father-in-law had decided to place a prepared meal in the oven and forgot about it. Our Bluebird arrived to find the kitchen filled with smoke and the oven at the point of setting on fire, my father-in-law was in the living room oblivious. The way the carer reacted to this dangerous situation was, calm, cool and considerate, she thought first of the client and not herself, we will never be able to express our thanks and gratitude to her, she saved my father-in-law's life. The Bluebird care team indoor and outdoor are easy to communicate with, kind and understanding, they become part of the family in an unobtrusive way, they are just fabulous .... Thank you..xx
