Bluebird Care Richmond & Twickenham now provides training on pressure sores for staff

Bluebird Care has joined forces with the community nursing team to provide training on pressure sores for care workers. 

Pressure sores in older people are extremely debilitating and can be a main cause of hospital admission. The early identification of sores, knowing how to prevent them and how to work with health professionals when someone has a sore is a way that social carers can help to reduce the likelihood of admission.

Bluebird Care has joined forces with the community nursing team to provide training on pressure sores for care workers. We are the only agency in the Borough that provides this training to our workers because we believe that this will help to improve pressure sore prevention.
