They come to see us every day

In sunshine, rain, or skies of grey

Their cheerfulness that fills the room

Banishing any thoughts of gloom

Carers are very special

They are of another breed

Kind, generous, and helpful

To those of us in need

-

They speak little of their aches and pains

Or how they might like to rest

But go cheerfully through all the days

Doing their very best

-

They work with skill and dedication

Ensuring we take our medication

They bring us our breakfast food

And often sing to lighten the mood

-

Where would we be without them

Without their cheerful ways

They surely must take comfort

For their gift of happy days
