It’s a belief that sits at the heart of everything we do at Bluebird Care, and one that makes us particularly excited to welcome Natalie Cassidy as our new brand ambassador.
Natalie, best known for her role as Sonia Fowler in Eastenders, understands personally how important compassionate care can be when someone you love needs support.
Understanding the importance of care at home
Natalie’s own experience of caring began within her family.
She cared for her father at home towards the end of his life, following his dementia diagnosis, while also managing her career and raising her two young children.
This experience gave Natalie an insight into the emotional and practical challenges that can come with caring for a loved one.
It also helped her recognise the importance of support that allows people to remain in familiar surroundings and receive the care they need.
At Bluebird Care, we share this belief in the importance of helping people remain in the place they love while maintaining as much independence as possible.
Care that puts people first
Home is about much more than four walls. It’s where we feel comfortable, surrounded by familiar routines, memories and the things that matter most to us.
For people who need additional support, receiving care at home can help them continue enjoying the routines and activities that make life meaningful.
Our approach is centred around the individual, recognising that everyone’s circumstances, preferences and support needs are different.
Natalie’s understanding of the importance of care makes her a fantastic person to help us share this message with more people.
A partnership with a purpose
Following her personal experience, Natalie went on to enrol on a Level 3 course in health and social care and explore the profession through her BCC documentary series, Natalie Cassidy: Caring Together.
She trained as a carer in different settings, including children’s services and palliative care, developing her understanding of the varied work involved in caring for others.
Now as Bluebird Care’s new ambassador, she will help us celebrate the care profession, highlight the opportunities available through our Bluebird Care Academy and recognise the wonderful work taking across our network.
