Bluebird Care Reigate has retained its overall ‘Good’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), with inspectors awarding the service an ‘Outstanding’ rating for Caring following its latest inspection.
The inspection report, published last month, praised the provider's commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. The Outstanding rating for Caring – the highest rating awarded by the CQC – recognises the compassionate support provided by the team and the positive experiences of the people they care for.
Inspectors praised Bluebird Care Reigate for promoting people's independence and involving customers in decisions about their care, stating: "People were supported and encouraged to remain as independent as possible and were involved in decisions around their care."
The report also highlighted how Bluebird Care Reigate ensures customers feel valued and supported, noting that: "People and relatives told us that staff were kind, caring and respectful towards them."
Customers and their families also shared positive feedback about the support they receive. One customer said: "They are like part of my extended family, and they do let me do some things for myself." A family member added: "She has a great bond and relationship with her regular carers. They do feel like friends, they're really sweet."
Bluebird Care Reigate has been delivering home care services across Surrey since 2011. The team provides services including personal care, live-in care, dementia support and overnight care, all tailored to each person's individual needs.
Lisa Philips, Registered Care Manager at Bluebird Care Reigate, said:
"We are incredibly proud to have retained our overall ‘Good’ rating and to receive an ‘Outstanding’ rating for Caring. Reading such positive feedback from the people we support and their families means so much to our team. This recognition reflects the dedication, kindness and compassion our Care Professionals show every day to help people stay safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes."
