Bluebird Care sees exponential growth for Live in Care services during Covid-19 crisis

Published: 18/05/2020

With care homes being the centre of the tragic covid-19 crisis, Bluebird Care has seen demand for its Live-in Care service grow at a rapid rate. Live in care is the best of both worlds with customers able to live in the comfort of their own home with 24 hour care.

The rise in customers for Live-in Care comes from increasing concerns about the residential care sector’s vulnerability through the spread of coronavirus.

Vivien, daughter of one of our live-in care customers said, “Because a lot of the time people take things for granted, I just wanted to say, I cannot praise Fatima highly enough for her outstanding professionalism, duty of care, genuineness, patience and dedication she has shown my father particularly under these extreme circumstances we now find ourselves!

Her lovely and fun personality bonds her well to my father and I couldn’t wish for a nicer person to live in my once family home! She has diligently built up a successful daily routine which has had a positive effect on my father’s well-being and is always thinking of ideas as to how to improve his quality of life-nothing is too much trouble!

As a truly valued member of your team, please convey to her my heartfelt thanks!

Vivien”

From the first day we opened our business to serve our community, our customers have been at the heart of everything we do and we believe we are the alternative choice to a care home so people can stay safe but independent in their own home.

Live in care is a way you can protect yourself, families and loved ones as Bluebird Care is a ready-made alternative to a care home which reduces the risk of contracting or spreading the coronavirus, staying at home and away from others is the most single important action we can all take in fighting coronavirus and save lives and is in line with the government guidelines.

Alex Witten, Live-in Care Manager added, “Live-in care in particular is still relatively unknown to so many within our communities, but is likely to be the safest way to protect you or your loved ones and not just in today’s times but before and after coronavirus hit us. One of the reasons why is it only involves the support of a single or pair of rotating live-in carers. Live-in care is also great value for money compared to residential homes. It allows customers to have a tailored plan to suit their needs rather than be dictated by strict times. It has become a popular solution in the last couple of years, with our live-in care customer base growing by 40%.

It doesn’t matter what your care needs are. Perhaps its companionship, or you need a little extra help around the house, or you need support to care for your loved one so you are able to be their spouse again and not their carer. No matter what it may be, Bluebird Care can support you.

Rebecca Hawkins Business Development Manager said, “We are very proud of what we do and the care we provide is all bespoke to a family’s needs from daily care visits to full-time live-in care”

The benefits of live in care are:
