Shirley, one of our valued customers, shares a wonderful bond with her live-in carer, Kadijatu Koroma, affectionately known as KK. Their friendship is built on trust, laughter and shared experiences, reflecting everything live-in care can and should be.
Recently, Shirley proudly wore a colourful traditional Sierra Leonean outfit, a thoughtful gift from KK, who is originally from Sierra Leone. The moment was filled with smiles, conversation and curiosity — a beautiful exchange of culture and appreciation.
It was more than a gift. It was a celebration of heritage, identity and the joy of learning from one another.
For KK, live-in care is about far more than meeting practical needs.
Being a live-in carer means I can truly make a difference — it’s not just physical care, it’s emotional support, companionship and building trust. I feel privileged to support people in the place they feel safest: their own home.
