A Joyful Easter Fundraising Party for Alzheimer’s Society

This Easter, customers, families, carers and members of the local community came together for a special fundraising celebration supporting the Alzheimer’s Society. The day was filled with laughter, music and meaningful moments that truly captured the spirit of community.

Easter Fundraising Party Brings Community Together

Bluebird Care Reading, Wokingham, Windsor, Maidenhead and Bracknell recently hosted a joyful Easter Fundraising Party, bringing customers, families, carers and members of the local community together for a day filled with laughter and celebration — all in support of the Alzheimer’s Society.

The event was a wonderful reflection of the strong community spirit that surrounds the people we support every day.

A Special Visit from Local Children

One of the highlights of the day was a visit from local pre-school children, who joined customers and carers for an afternoon of dancing, singing and creative activities. Together they enjoyed colouring, games and a lively Easter egg hunt.

The excitement on the children’s faces was priceless as they searched for colourful eggs hidden around the venue, each one containing a small toy chick. The moment brought smiles to everyone involved and created a truly heartwarming atmosphere.

Music, Food and Festive Fun

Music played a big part in the celebrations, thanks to DJ Brian — one of our dedicated carers — who provided the soundtrack for the afternoon. His music kept the party lively and encouraged plenty of dancing and singing from guests of all ages.

Guests also enjoyed delicious food from the popular local Spud Van, where jacket potatoes proved to be a firm favourite. Sweet treats were also on offer, with the Homemade Cake Company kindly donating cakes that were enjoyed by everyone.

Raffle Excitement

The raffle brought plenty of excitement as guests waited to see if their ticket would be the lucky one. While some were luckier than others, the anticipation and good humour made it one of the most entertaining moments of the day.

Our Care Supervisor Angela had a particularly memorable moment when she won the giant Easter bunny after selecting the winning name, Gunner. The bunny quickly became a favourite guest at the party, receiving lots of attention and affection from customers.

Dancing the Afternoon Away

As the afternoon continued, the celebrations ended on a high note with more music, dancing and singing, led by members of our enthusiastic live-in care team. The room was filled with laughter and energy as everyone came together to enjoy the final moments of the event.

Supporting an Important Cause

Thanks to the generosity and support of everyone involved, the event successfully raised £952.74 for the Alzheimer’s Society, helping to support individuals and families affected by dementia.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered and helped make the day such a success. Events like this remind us how powerful community can be when people come together to support one another.

At Bluebird Care, we are proud to play a role not only in supporting people in their homes, but also in building meaningful connections within the communities we serve.
