Recently, members of our Bluebird Care Plymouth & South Hams team took a well-earned break from their busy schedules to come together for a relaxed lunch at the Harvester in Plympton.
In a profession dedicated to looking after others, it can be easy to forget the importance of making time for ourselves and for each other. With many of our care professionals spending much of their working day supporting customers independently in their own homes, opportunities to get together as a team are incredibly valuable.
The lunch was a wonderful chance to catch up with familiar faces, share a few laughs, and get to know some of the newer members of our Bluebird Care family. It was lovely to see colleagues from across the business spending time together away from their usual routines, strengthening the relationships that help make our team so special.
Pictured are Alexander, one of our Directors, alongside the wonderful Julie Montford. Julie, a retired nurse and long-standing member of the Bluebird Care team for more than ten years, embodies the compassion, dedication and warmth that are at the heart of everything we do.
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the ladies who gave up their personal time to join us for lunch. We know how precious free time is, especially in a caring profession, and we were truly grateful to see so many of the team come together.
These moments remind us that while our work may often be carried out independently, none of us works alone. We are part of a close-knit, supportive team that genuinely enjoys each other's company and shares a common purpose: making a positive difference in people's lives.
A special thank you goes to Holly for organising the get-together. It was a lovely afternoon filled with good food, great conversation and plenty of reminders of why we are so proud of the culture we've built at Bluebird Care.
After all, great care starts with great people. 💙
