Our very own Care Co Ordinating team, Zoe & Abby, had a great day of learning attending the UKHCA Care Co-Ordinating Workshop in Birmingham on Wednesday, 6th March 2019.  Sharing best practice, learning and reflecting on care co-ordinating with health and social care colleagues, their day was made extra special when they met new UKHCA CEO, Roger Berry!  Read more!

Always working on continuous improvement and how we can improve, Zoe & Abby, Bluebird Care Co-Ordinators, visited Birmingham to attend the United Kingdom Home Care Associations workshop, focusing on Care Co-Ordinator responsibilities.

A great day of learning and reflection was had, sharing and adding best practice from within the homecare community, whilst taking time to consider ways to always improve on the processes and approaches we use to deliver the best homecare and work conditions via the co-ordinating area.  This was topped off by finding that the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer for the UKHCA, Roger Berry, was at the workshop with them, and a photo opportunity was taken!

“It was a really useful day” Zoe said, “Co-Ordinating care is a very rewarding and equally challenging role.  We are always looking at how we can get the best service for our customers, and the best rosters and work times and conditions for our team.  It was great to meet other homecare colleagues and be able to be there and confirm that what we do is very  much ahead of the curve and that we are working in the right way and direction.  Both Abby and I came away with some great ideas that we are looking forward to working on.  We can always improve and its very exciting.”

Abby added, “Meeting Roger Berry was a great experience.  It was good to be able to part of discussions about homecare with such an influencer and leader in homecare and the future of it.”
